We walked over to the the Rockerfeller Centre and met two girls outside the NBC Studios and they asked us if we wanted two tickets to see Dr Oz. Well the weather was bad so we took them up on the offer. It turned out to be a good idea. There was a comedian doing the warm up and we were told when to clap etc. I loved it and they even gave us 40 dollars for lunch! We think it goes out in a couple of weeks on Fox. We will let you know should be a laugh. We had lunch and watched the skating at the Rock. We wanted to go to the top but visability was bad so will attempt it tomorrow. There`s so much to see tomorrow as we`ve lost so much time with the weather so it`s an early start.
Ok we then made our way to Times Square and bought a pair of tickets to see Hair the musical. Can`t believe they took their clothes off in this weather! Really enjoyed it and eventually got home at 11pm having been out since 7 30 am looking a bit worse for wear.Goodnight x x
Well last night was a good night we found a small bar come restaurant called Duvals a few blocks from the hotel ,the intention was just to have a drink and then move on to somewhere else but you guessed it when we looked outside there was no chance of walking around the snow was coming down even stronger,so we decided to order from the bar and found a cosy seat.At the table was a lovely young lady on her own who,s name was Vanessa (photo posted) she knew the area well and was filling us in on good eating places and evening entertainment as well as local charity shops for betty. The morning started early with Betty going down at 6am to get a couple of teas from the coffee shop at the entrance of the hotel(everything seems to go 24 hours),don,t worry it will be my turn tomorrow morning.Anyway we were dressed and out for 7.30 having breakfast just over the road from the hotel

my turn now
This blog was my idea and honestly I just can`t get to use it! Brian is hogging it while i`m asleep. Well I loved the plane, is that normal? The girl next to me ate for england, she took everything on offer extra wine etc. Then when she`d finished that out came a packed lunch that she`d bought from boots! When she got up to get her luggage from the overhead locker not a glimmer of a muffin top! bitch! We fell into the trap of getting the manhatton bus instead of a taxi (surprise surprise) Well it was the oldest and dirtiest bus you have ever seen and then we had to change buses! oh better not moan hotel is lovely. It is nice having nothing to do. Anyway if I get the chance I will write again. Betty x x
Well after settling into our hotel last night we found a little irish bar around the corner and had a couple of drinks, we were not that hungry after eating on the plane and not moving around that much.Anyway we had an early start this morning at about 6.30 we got up and were out just after eight,we watched the weather forecast before we went out and they forecast between 6 and 12 inches of snow today and overnight which should make things a little interesting. We walked up to times square where we picked up the city sights tour coach which you can hop on and off at various points around manhattan, the only problem being was that it was snowing really hard and you had difficulty seeing the points of interest (we will give it another go tomorrow ,hopefully the snow will have stopped).Plenty of eating places around where you can get food of any type, most of the places seem as if you just choose what you want and weigh it and you pay so much per kilo the same for breakfast as well. Its amazing how many yellow cabs are buzzing around new york and all managing to find customers, sometimes the roads are full of just taxis,You certainly know when a fire truck wants to get past the sound of the siren and its horns soon make the other vehicles move over, the grid system really makes finding your way around very easy but you loose that when you go down to the old part around the financial district ,little italy and chinatown .Just about to figure out how to put photos onto the blog bare with us its all new.
