Well we had a
Cesar salad lunch and a beer (not sure if that was a good idea) parked up vans in the marina and made our way to the meeting point. The other two couples were there waiting to board. They were
Doran and Danni and Jill and Cameron from Canada. Then arrived Chris who was in charge of catering/general entertainer! very smiley and we knew we were going to have a great time. She took us to the Whitsunday Blue
Catamaran where we had to take off our shoes and hand in our alcohol. This is where we met Paula who was our skipper and she was great. It
didn`t go unnoticed that
Pete and
Brian had 24 cans of VB! We were then invited to sit around the dining table where we had a short brief and some beautiful fruit. Then it was time to see our rooms and unpack. Don`t think we will need high heels somehow. As we set sail
across the Whitsunday Passage to
Macona Inlet we got to know our ship mates. We all rubbed along nicely telling our different travel stories. We anchored up at Hook Island for the night. Chris produced a lovely display of king prawns and canapes and of course we got our drinks out. Chris was the DJ (how can one person do just about everything) We then moved inside the cabin for dinner which was satay chicken salad and garlic bread.Followed by cheesecake. Really enjoyed the evening and we all had a good feeling about the whole trip. Goodnight x xx
